Tips for shoppers. Try to park in an area that is well lit with a fair amount of vehicular and or pedestrian traffic. Any combination of these three can be enough to deter a thief. Any type of electronic devices such as navigation systems, iPods, laptops, etc. shouldn't be left inside the vehicle. If you have ...to leave them in the car, lock them in the trunk but do it before you get to the mall. If you have an aftermarket car stereo, remember to take the face piece off. If the trunk is full, find a concealed spot inside the car. Place valuables and packages in the trunk, then drive around on the other side of the mall if your planning to go back, it sounds inconvenient but could save valuables. |
